Simulator Flight Diary
the travels of "Simantha" our Virgin Blue Virtual Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

When we fly online we often simulate Virgin Blue or Pacific Blue real-life flights, via the Virtual Airline VOZVA - of which we are members. They asked us to simulate the delivery flight of Boeing 737-800 VHVUP from Boeing Field to Brisbane on 28/29 June 2008..We flew the same route on the same days (mostly) as the real aircraft

This page shows the second leg of the trip from Lihue (PHLI) to Nadi (NFFN) in Fiji

Taxing onto the runway for takeoff to the south. It's a nice clear day for flying.

Climbing away from the Hawaiian islands through scattered cloud.

On the climb heading up to FL400 for a 4.5 hour cruise.
Land ahoy - Fiji appears through thick cloud as we descend through 10,000 feet.

Approaching Nadi now on a left downwind, the beautiful clear waters and reefs look great.

With scattered cloud below 3000 feet I planned for an ILS approach to runway 02. But was bitten by the infamous ILS unreliability here so had to switch to a visual approach on base. Luckily the visibility was ok for that! But it meant I was too busy to take more shots. Where is that FO !!?

At the gate in Nadi.

Flight time: 5:08 hrs

Fuel burn: 13255 kgs

Time for a 6 pack.
